Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

can i protect my sell from med bills from rear end

I was a passenger in our vehicle, driven by co-owner. We were stopped at a red light, the first car in line. Behind us a mini van was stopped for red. An SUV then slammed into the mini van which in turn slammed into our car. Driver of SUV was cited for careless. We both sustained neck injuries, and went to the ER immediately, by private vehicle. We both had X-Rays, etc. I now need to seek follow up care as I am continuing to experience pain and discomfort. How can I protect myself from all these future medical bills piling up in my name, making me responsible? Is there some type of Letter of Intent that I can show the medical care providers so I am not held liable? All three vehicles were insured, the second car having the same insurance company as us.

Your insurance carrier should have no fault medical coverage for you. Call them.

If you sustain a "serious injury" as defined by statute, you may have a claim for pain and suffering. Good luck.
