Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

raped went to hospital talked to detectives was administered ativan and don't remember after that. Was released from hospital went home and then went to crisis center to do rape kit officer was called and informed me that I signed a waiver of prosecution so now they did not arrest him the officer said it was a closed case. My friend was also raped the same time by same man. Does that mean I have no recourse that he gets away with rape and can continue to do this to other women??? I am 18

Your waiver of prosecution would not prevent a civil claim. If you want to pursue this criminally, go see the State Attorney in charge. You will need to explain why you signed a waiver of prosecution. I doubt that "I don't remember will work."
