Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

was rearended a year ago driving a company vehicle in orange county, fl i was wrongfully cited for a illegal change of lanes when all i was attempting to do was switch lanes to get back behind the lead driver who at the last minute decided to get to the other side of a toll..there were other drivers also following her from our company.i was at the far left lane which consisted of two lanes i think was the sunpass lanes.i put on my signal switched one lane and was going to attempt to switch the next lane to get back to the pay lanes where the lead driver and the other drivers went to so i wouldnt get lost.but when i looked in the rear view there were to many cars coming and i also had a vehicle in front of me so i had to come to a stop, thats when a vehicle hits me from the rear.now i think the driver who hit me from behind was also cited for speeding but im not sure.a week after accident my insurance company calls me and asks me what happen? i fully explain to them and that it wasnt my faultthey say they would take care of it.a month later im not working for the company anymore, and i think the company and insurance took care of it but a year later i get served with a suit saying the guy is suing me and company for bodily injury hospital fees and wage lost and anguishment and this guy was harrasing me jumping around after accident like nothing was wrong with him.i was a safe driver and not very intelligent when it comes to what to do after a accident,i never went to see a doctor because i have no money unemployed and when i did feel pain from impact.,i havent even paid ticket because i have no money and wasnt my fault, ticket was sent to a collection agency.and my license suspended due to not paying citation and live to far from orlando i live 100miles away in tampa no vehicle to go fight the ticket at that time in court how can i take care of this and can i get that ticket dropped?i have nothing, own nothing how can he sue me?please help i am so confused and dont know what my options are?now that it is a year later...

Your employer's insurance company should represent you. Forward the papers to them.

Hire one of the ticket lawyer clinics to represent you, if you can't make it.
