Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
Can I remove my name & entitlement from shared assets to protect them?
I was involved in an automobile accident about six months ago. I was determined to be at fault for not yeilding the right-of-way. One driver & no passengers in each car. Both parties walked away with no apparent injuries. Within a couple of weeks of the acciednt I'm notified by my insurance company that a bodily injury claim has been presented. To date, no suite papers have been sent to me and the final claim has not been made to my insurance company.
Can I leagally remove my name and entitlement from shared assets to protect them from the possibility of a substantial claim if no suit has yet been filed?

Not if makes you assetless. It would be considered a fraud against potential creditors.
