Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

I am a renter during a hurricane the ceiling(not roof) fell in on top of me I hurt my back and had to miss work and visit the doctors several times. my landlords lawyer is claiming her insurance doesn't cover the doctors bills? What are my rights

Acts of god may not be covered under insurance. the issue will be was the ceiling was negligently maintained and is that why it collapsed or was it due to hurricane and act of god alone. more facts are needed. the policy form the landlord should be reviewed.

I agree with my colleague - have the policy reviewed by a loca personal injury attorney. I would argue that ceiling tiles should not be falling on your head and that there is very likely some negligence involved. Good luck to you.
