Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
Settlement
I was invovled in an accident in March. I was hit from the rear, other party is at fault. I have pictures of the scene of the accident. Car is totaled and I have injuries. I have medical bills totaling up to 8k. My insurance company pays 80%, is the other party responsible for the other 20%? or do I pay out of pocket? Party at fault only has 10k coverage. Am I entitled to the 10k? what are my options?

Re: Settlement
Your own auto insurance pays 80% of your medical bills, up to the first $10,000 (although you may have a deductible of up to $2,000). The other driver's insurance is responsible for paying the damage to your car, the balance of your medical bills, and whatever money is due to you if you have a permanent injury. You really should consult with a lawyer. I see that you're in Royal Palm Beach. Our office is in Boca Raton and we handle cases throughout Palm Beach County. I'd be happy to speak with you about your situation. There's no obligation to us.
Re: Settlement
!. You are out the other 20%
2. Your injury may or may not be worth his 10.
3. If it is and you have under insured coverage you can make a claim.
