Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

My son was in what we believe was a set up rear end accident , very minor damage but drama about injuries when there really were not any. My son had just bought the car a old old car ,at an auction and it was not insured yet. He was ticketed for no insurance, no drivers licence on him, wreckless driving. he went to court for tickets. The ticketing officer showed up to support my son as he felt it was a set up. The driver did not show up the tickets were all dismissed. State farm tried to collect from My insurance Co but he was not on my policy. Now a collection agency is calling my son saying if he does not pay the 1900.00 collection amount his licence will be suspended here in Florida.

If they get a judgment against him, they can have his license suspended. Best if he tries and works something out rather than run the risk of problems with his license later on. He does not necessarily have to pay $1900 and it sounds like property damage claims only, which is hard to attribute to a set up. Personal injury claims would be more likely to occur if the whole thing was a set up.
