Can i sue a convicted child molester

47 yr old man convicted on 2 accts of child molestation and has received life in prison as of Sept 2003. My son was one of the victims. I want to know if i can sue this man and on what accounts. And how can i also find out if he has any assets. Thank You

Yes, you can pursue claims in civil court but you may have problems finding out what assets, if any, he has until you obtain a final judgment against the convicted felon. You should meet with a civil litigator experienced in prosecuting claims of this nature. There are investigation methods available to determine whether there are sufficient assets to justify pursuing a judgment.
