Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Can I sue my job and the hospital for an injury, that changed my life, but happened back on March 4th 2011, even though I stopped working at the job on January 8th 2012? I continued to work there, because I had no other place to go after I was injured on the job. I still have several issues with my injury and was told by a doctor that the hospital did not do their job right and I will most likely have permanent damage. All the activities I did for fun, have since been non existent, or very much diffacult to enjoy with my family, due to the pain. Can anyone help, or should I just let it wash away under the bridge?
