Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
If someone tells another person a false statement about me and it hurts my reputation, how difficult is it to prove that this is slander? Is it likely for me to be able to prove intent? Also, is it possible to sue or press charges on this issue without someone knowing that it was me who did the lawsuit? Would it require an independent investigator/special prosecutor?

It is very difficult to prove slander when done orally. Both parties would essentially have to agree on what was said. You would then need to have actual damages. Allegation of reputation damage are not sufficient without sufficient support. Criminal charges? aren't supported by an untruthful statement. Intent is not an element of the claim of slander. Seek some legal guidance with your actual facts.
