waiver of right to sue

can an elderly person who is being assisted by another sign a waiver of right to sue protecting the person providing the assistant from legal action in the event of an accident either on the property of the elderly person, hospital or doctor's office property or in the assistants vehicle so that a family member of the elderly cannot sue the assistant.

Yes, but language and competence are just part of the big issues to resolve.

If you intend to do this, you better have a lawyer do it, or your release will be meaning less.
