Legal Question in Product Liability in Florida

in 2007 while working for a Truss company in FL. i was asked by my suporviser to run a power saw that i had ver little knowladge of. wanting to be a team player i accepted. bad idea it ended in the loss of my middle right finger. for one because the saw was badly built and second because that was not the job i was hired for and had never been properly trained on running that saw. now the manufacture's of the badly built saw are tryin to deny ownership of the saw. because it was built in 1984 and sold and rebought a cuple of time. so it sarting to look like no one will have to pay for this but me. what should i do???
