Legal Question in Product Liability in Florida
I bought a scooter a week ago from a dealer in Florida, He promised a warranty in his adds and in person but after getting it found out he isn't even a dealer for the company that makes the scooters, they denied him dealership. I am now stuck with a brand new piece of junk. The gas hand doesn't work, the speedometer, the turn signals, do not work proper. It will not start or stay running unless u give it constant gas. This is only some of what is wrong and it all started about 2 days after buying. The so called dealer basically told me I was out of luck. What can i do?

If the scooter is new (as in not previously titled) you probably have a lemon law claim against the manufacturer there may also be a warranty claim. In either case you have described a dealer who is participating in Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices and you should consult with a consumer protection attorney. Florida law prohibits trade practices based on deception and has provisions to cover the attorney's fees.
