Broken tv

I have a tv with a hole in the screen. this is not coverd under the warrinty. I'ts a bran new tv. RCA has no screens for it, and can't tell me when they will, if at all. I siad i would pay for it. they said i was SOL. can they sell items they can't fix, and say oh well. i'ts 52'' and $2500, and i have junk. is there any law that covers this.

How did the hole get there?

You say it is a brand new TV. If that is accurate, look at the return policy of the store from whom you purchased it.

If the hole is not covered by any type of warranty and you cannot return it, you are indeed SOL. There is no requirement that a manufacturer keep making materials that can be used to fix the items they selll wehen they break (I have a 1966 s30SL, so I feel your pain).

You might check places fopr a used set like yours, that can be canabalized for the screen that you need. Check eBay and similar sources.
