Legal Question in Product Liability in Florida

contract cancellation

I had bought a used car from a local dealer ''as is'' adn he had assured me that it was a great car, I took it for a test drive and it ran perfectly, when i got the car home after driving it only 5 minutes it was already over heating, some safety features were questiobale such as the speedometer, the odometer, and the steering was locking up. I just want to know if i have a certian amount of time to cancel my contract with him even though it was sold ''as is''. The car also did nt come with a title. hen i tried to return the car he told me that he sold it to me as is,he ould not give me my money bck and he told me to get a lawyer. So if i am ableto do anything about this please let me know.

Florida has a Lemon Law for new & used vehicles. Call 1 800 321 5366 for information. When buying as is I always get an expert to inspect.
