Ford Truck Fire Destroys Home
In May 2004, our Ford 2001 Ford F150 Supercrew was parked in our garage and turned off. It had been parked since approx. 1:00 am. At 6:45am, my husband heard a noise and, upon investigation, discovered the truck on fire. Our two young children and I were awakened by his yells to ''Get the kids out of the house''. The truck, another car, and the house were destroyed. Our family escaped. State Farm has covered most of our monetary losses and has settled with Ford but has not made known to us the terms of their settlement. Ford issued a recall on the cruise control mechanism due to fire hazard on the model in question in November 2004, six months after our fire. We believe this defect has been determined to be the cause of our fire. We need some closure for what our family has been through since the fire. We suffered through night terrors, anxiety and my 6 yr old son is afraid to be into his room alone. What are our options at this point?

If you collected from State Farm I am sure you

signed a release waiving all your rights.
