Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I didn't get 3 day notice.

Got served with a eviction case and 3 day notice attached to it the 26th. Never got a 3 day notice. It apparently was written on the 19th.

Had verbal agreement from landlord to live here rent free in exchange for managing/fixing/rehabbing properties 2 years ago.

Landlord says I owe rent $900 mo from June till present ($2700.).

I never agreed to this.

Is this legal?

Next day, the 27th Served with Les Pendens (foreclosure) papers on this house I'm in that the landlord owns.

Help!

Preparing to move within 10 days.

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

The failure to receive a 3 Day Notice is a defense you may be able to raise in response to the Complaint. Frankly, if you plan to move within 10 days, you will probably be gone before any judgment is reached.
