3 day rental notice to pay rent

Can I ask for rent due for this month, and the last 2 months, which is a total of three months due to landlord on the 3 day notice to pay rent?

Re: 3 day rental notice to pay rent

Yes. In fact, you should put all rent due plus late fees in your three-day notice.

Re: 3 day rental notice to pay rent

Yes, you can ask for all delinquent rent not received. However, be careful about late fees. Look to your lease to see if late fees are in fact designated as "rent". If not, you may consider omitting them. It's not worth having your case thrown out for a defective "3-day notice".

Re: 3 day rental notice to pay rent

You can ask for the full amount of the rent due at the time you post or serve the 3 day notice. Do not include anything in the 3 day notice other than the actual rent due. Do not include late fees, interest, etc. unless the lease specifically calls the other items additional rent otherwise your 3 day notice will be invalid and the other party may have your case dismissed and you will be responsible for their attorney's fees and costs and have to refile your case. Should you have any questions, feel free to give me a call.
