Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

1 House 3 Sisters

My sisters and I just inherited our grandmothers home. I have lived in the house for the past four years with my husband and two girls. Now that we own this house with my sisters I was wondering what their obligations are in helping maintain the house (upgrades), paying the taxes and paying the association dues. At the sale of teh house we do have to split in three ways so should I deduct monies then? Or do I ask for help a long the way as I live here and we own it together? What are thmy sisters obligations in general legally?

Re: 1 House 3 Sisters

Unless you are prepared to pay your sisters rent for the use and occupancy of the property by you, your spouse and your children, you may want to think twice about demanding money from your siblings for maintenance of a home that you and your family enjoy living in. I encourage you to meet with a lawyer to weigh the equities and learn of your viable legal options.
