how do i add my son to the deed. will my taxes change

Yes, of course you can add your son to the title of your house, but I would not advise you to do that without consulting with an attorney regarding your circumstances. And yes, doing so might affect not only your homestead exemption which will affect your taxes, but could also cause you to lose a portion of the save your homes cap which could dramatically change your taxes in the future. There are better forms of estate planning available to you, at minimal costs. I would look into those.
