Can someone adopted be entitled to share birth fathers estate ?

Hi- My father died in Florida in 1997, He has 2 children from a previous marriage. However, they were adopted by their stepfather in 1979. Are they entitled to receive any monies from my fathers' estate? Also, how can I petition the courts of Maryland to release their sealed adoption records in relation to this? Thanks :)

If no will the adopted children would not share in the estate. I do not know the laws of Maryland regarding adoption.
