Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Assuming I were to purchase two plots of residential land juxtaposing each other, would it be possible to "combine" the two plots into one deed?

Not so simple as "yes".
If you are referring to two plots that are adjacent to each other, sharing a common lot line, you may be able to combine them into one parcel of land providing that:
1. The resulting parcel does not exceed any length to width ratio required by ordinance.
2. The resulting parcel does not violate any size/dimension requirements of the plat, if either of the lots are platted. If one lot is platted and the other parcel is not platted, it may not be permitted (by the subdivision) to "bring outside land" into the plat, because that land would then be entitled to whatever benefits the subdivision has, such as lake access, utilities etc.
3. You are willing to forego the possibility of redividing the land in the future, because an ordinance that may permit combining, may also prohibit division, or could in the future.
4. There may be property tax cap issues, by creating a "new" parcel of land, with a new legal description.
5. If either property has a lien, you will be creating a new parcel that will be clouded by the lien.
