Does a bank and the courts have to give notice when a home is foreclosed on. Also when a bank takes possession of a home without notification and changes the locks or sells the home what rights do I have

For a foreclosure to be valid you have to receive a summons and complaint and be given the opportunity to defend yourself. NO self help is allowed. The bank would need to seek Court approval to take over the property and change the locks. Sale of the home would mean the bank has ownership and your rights were previously terminated.
