Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

How does a binder I signed work

My wife and I put a $1,000.00 binder on first refusal of three lots in a housing development for four weeks. If we don't select any of the lots, do we get our $1,000 back?

Re: How does a binder I signed work

The answer will depend on what the binder says, and if ambiguous, who prepared the binder. Next time speak with a lawyer first.

I would have to read the contract to answer your question. If you failed to sign a contract then your money may be at risk.
