Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Board members of the condominium where I live have entered into a contract to install duly franchised cable television service under a bulk option. The building was built 40 years ago when the cable service was not in existance, therefore Condominium Documents do not specify this issue. I have red the Florida Statutes Chapter 718.115.(1)(d) and my question is if the board member have the right to impose the cost of this service on me?

Depending on what powers were given to the board in your condo-documents, they may be able to charge the owners for the installation. In most cases condo boards have to place matter which require special assessments before the owners for a vote. However, the condo-docs will likely govern whether they can do this.
