Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
We bought a home in 2008 in Florida. We were recently notified by code enforcement that the shed on our property was built with out a permit. Do we have any legal recourse against the original owner who built it in 2002? We are the 3rd owners. We spent $702.00 to get the proper permits and the shed up to code.

Your legal recourse would be against the title insurance company. The title company should have picked up on this during the title search and advised you of the shed not having permits. I would recommend you review your title insurance information. If not listed, you have recourse against the title company for the damages you have suffered in getting the shed up to code.
