Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I bought a house and 6 acres. My ex girlfriends name is also on the deed. She paid nothing and we split shorty after. She refuses to sign off. Is there any legal way to remove her name?

When more than one person's name is on title to the property, and they cannot agree on what do do with the property, there is a an action known as a Partition suit available.

A partition action would be appropriate if you want to sell. An action to quiet title (Chapter 65 of the FS) is your remedy to determine your full ownership and have her name removed. Good luck.
