Buying a home that was a rental
I am contemplating buying a home that currently has tennants. Currently there is no written lease (verbal month to month. What laws would force the tennants to move if they do not do so voluntarily?

They are considered a month to month tenant. You would have to serve them with a written 15 day notice to vacate. If they refuse, you can bring an eviction proceeding. you could also require the owner to have them vacate before you buy.
