If someone buys you something and its in your name but they paid for it, and now there saying they want you to pay them back for it, do you have to give it back or pay them back for it?

This is a complex issue but if there was no agreement to pay someone back for an item, then it is probably going to been seen by the Court as a gift.

Ms. Bates-Buchanan is correct. There are many facts not provided which would assist in determining this situation. Are there other written documents describing why this was done? Was there financing which was obtained using the owner's credit? Seek some legal help with all the facts.
