Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I am Canadian and am lending money to my father to purchase a condo in Florida, where he lives. We were both wanting to document it properly so I found a document online to purchase called "Florida Promissory Note - Term- Secured". Is this valid and a good idea? Does this contract properly secure the note with real-estate?

No it is insufficient. You should hire an attorney. The cost should be about $750 or so to protect your interests. You need to have a note AND a mortgage to properly protect your interest and prioritize it.
