Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

when can i cancel a sales contract with a agent?

I signed a sale contract with an agent to sell my house. The agent lied to a prospective buyer about the condition of the house and lied to me about another possible buyer. I called and notified her broker about this and he basically blew me off. Now the agent has been fired for her ''business practices''. Am I still bound by the contract I had with her? How do I get out of this contract? It says if I sell within 180 days of firing them I have to pay their commision. Is this true? Thanks

Without reading the listing agreement, it is impossible to provide you with any specific, meaningful guidance. Contact the broker and request written confirmation that the contract has been "rescinded". Good luck.

I would have to read the listing agreement. You may have grounds to cancel.
