If you get into a car accident and the car is insured but the 18 year old driver is not on the insurance policy, what are the restrictions on getting sued if you were at fault for the accident?

If the 18 year old got a license more than 30 days ago and is a resident relative, then your insurance company may have a defense to any coverage for your failure to list the driver on your application. Check with your agent and see what the status is AND add the driver now to avoid future problems.
