Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Do I have a case?
My apartment complex manager had asked several times for me to move a car being stored on the property. Not having a valid Drivers license or insurance I was unable to comply. Then one day I confronted him for sticking damaging stickers on my wind shield. I asked him to remove the sticker he refused and said he would call the police and tell them I was driving the car. Then he would have it towed. So rather than argue with him and risk getting evicted I moved the vehicle to my job. Turns out the Manager of the complex is an ex-lieutenant cheif for our local police department. So he being upset with me called one of his old friends to go and watch my car. Long story short i went to sit in my car one day and ended up getting put in hand cuffs and ticketed by a Police officer. And he said ''you should watch who you smart off to because your manager is an old cop friend of mine'' My question is do I have a case against my complex for the manager abusing his power? Or against the local police for embarrassing me in front of my co workers while doing a favor for a friend.

Not that I can see. Except the manager may be criminally liable for conspiracy, and arguably you may have a defense of entrapment, but its a weak argument.
