Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
We did not close on a house because the agents did not provide accurate HOA information that restricted us from buying. We obtained an escrow release from the seller so the title company could release our escrow. Do we also have to have a signed contract cancellation with the seller?

An HOA restricted you from buying? Was this a 55 age limited property? Your contract was with the seller, so you should have a release from the seller. If the escrow was released BY the seller and the deposit returned to you, it sounds as if you already HAVE a release. You should be given a copy of this document.
