Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

just closed on a home, discovered mold

I signed all the necessary papers to close on a condominium on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 8 pm at the persistance on the realtors. Since the banks were already closed, I had to wait until Friday the 28 to get the keys and give them the closing fees and down payment. The very same day, I was cleaning the place and discovered mold all over the floor underneath the carpet. The inspection company I used is saying they are not responsible since I I did not request a mold inspection. I was never told that was optional. Can I get out of this contract? what about disclosure from the sellers, realtors. Nobody wants to hold themselves responsible for the replacement and clean up of the entire floors. I don't even know if there is infestation on the walls. please advise.

Re: just closed on a home, discovered mold

If the seller knew of the problem they should have disclosed it. The question is , how do you prove it.
