Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
We just closed on our house 1/23/2017 and already we had to replace the sewer line going from the house to the city on 2-14-2017 and to make matters worse a City inspector was called because it appears that Rotor Rutter failed to pull a permit (that has been taken care of), but the City inspector informed us that there was no permits pulled for the roof, windows, plumbing, wiring and that our front door is illegal as it opens to the inside and not to the outside, that our electric is not grounded and not up to code. All of this was done by the previous owners. What do we do?

Can you prove previous owner knew all this? Were certain disclosures made? Speak with your attorney and title company. What did your instspection report contain?
