Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

community association land lease

I bought a house in a Pompano Beach community association which was built around 1965. It came with a land lease for the pool and common ground areas which I have to pay monthly. Later on I discovered most of the residents were able to buy back their leases in the 1980s. when I asked the land lease company about buying my land lease, they refused. My land lease payments have increased since their inception. what are the laws in Florida regarding these old land leases?

Re: community association land lease

An attorney would have to review your documents. I assume you had an attorney when you purchased into the HOA. What may have happened before you bought will have little bearing.
