Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Condo Association Board Corruption

I live in a 300 unit condo in Brickell Key, Miami, FL. This condo was converted in 2004. The developer turnover date was August 2005. I have presented by Board with request letters to review the official records. They have allowed me to review some but not all of the requested records. From those that I reviewed it is evident that Association monies are being used for non-Association expenses. In addition, there is over $131K in uncollected maintenance fees/ assessments; most of which are due from owners related to or friends with the developer and/or the Board members. Further, the Board is refusing to move forward with arbitration against the developer for breach of warranties (there are repairs/replacements needed exceeding $1M & all items are those that should have been provided for by the developer). My relationship with the Board has become hostile at best and they will not accept my letters or respond to my requests/questions. In addition, they have proceeded with attempting to threaten my well-being. I am at a loss for how to handle this situation. Any suggestions?
