Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
The condo board at my building voted for 4 years not to replace a roof that was leaking because all Board members lived on the 1st floor. The property management company did nothing. The leaking roof caused massive damage to the ceilings in my unit (2 ceilings caved in) and because the property management company was inept and corrupt, I was out 6 months of rent from tenants who could not occupy the unit as well incurred mold damage. My insurance company will not cover my damages because the roof leak was caused by neglect.
I am wondering how I go about structuring a law suit and who is to blame? The Board as an entity? The Management? Individuals on he Board? Thanks.
