Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I own a condo and my unit was damaged by the person above me from a toilet leak which I fixed for him and he paid me. he told me that he would pay me for my damages and now that I have them fixed he does not want to pay me anything. I have witnesses to this and I also gave him 2 estimates from companys to do the repairs, I fixed it myself and gave him a bill for hundreds less. If I take himto court do I need a lawyer. Thank You

It depends on the amount. If the claim is for less than $5,000, you can probably file a complain in Small Claims Court without the assistance of an attorney. I am not sure where you are, but in some counties the forms are on-line making it easier to represent yourself. Search for the Clerk of Court for your area to obtain additional information.
