Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

condominium inside damage

I have repaired the leak that caused damage to my downstairs neighbor's bathroom ceiling. Am I responsible to fix the damage to his ceiling?

Thank you.

Absolutely. If the damage was caused by a leak in your apartment which you were responsible to maintain, you are also responsible to fix any damage it may have caused. If you have a condominium owner's insurance policy then the insurance will cover this damage. If not, you will be personally responsible.
