Condominium pet rules

My condo is contemplating changing a ''no pets allowed'' restriction to allowing owners to have a pet but it is restricted to cats only. Is this legal or must other animals (dogs) also be allowed. Thank you for the answer.

I doubt this would be deemed legal. In any event, those presently with dogs should be grandfathered.
