Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I have a contract on a home that is owned by a company who purchased it on a foreclosure auction. It is no longer in foreclosure. This home has some major defects that the present owner is refusing to fix (i.e. roof, septic tank, and termite infestation). Does the owner have to pay to fix these defects?

No. So long as he discloses it to you, you have the right to not enter into the contract.

Read your contract. Did you purchase it "as is"?
