Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Contract of perspective sale

Ok we are selling our house and building another. We found a individual who wants to purchase our house. We all signed a contract stating that within so many days he will purchase our house, and the price is stated in the contract. THe contract also says that this is all based on when the new house is ready for occupation. Everything seems to be on the up and up. After signing the contract in our home, he took the contract to a notary and has ANOTHER paper signed by him just saying that there is a contract in excistance.(We did not sign this paper). After he did drop us off copies off all papers. Ok, is this legal and binding? I want to make sure that we will get our money as soon as the new house is done.

Re: Contract of perspective sale

You need an attorney to review the agreement. It should not have been signed without first being reviewed.
