Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

contract was signed for closing 9/16/2011 I as seller, packed set up moving storage in another state canceled utilities. buyers want and extension. I quit my job and have no source of income. Is there anything I can do to have this go through or get compensation for all I'm going through? I am loosing a lot of money, not to mention time and grief.
