Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Contractors Liens
If a lien is put on a property and the owner wishes to fight this lien - how do they go about it? The lien was a construction lien but the contractor did not do any work and was fired prior to the owner begining to build with another person.

Re: Contractors Liens
I would have to see the alleged lien prior to answering. So, you should consult with a competent atty and then act upon the advice you receive.
Re: Contractors Liens
I strongly suggest you make an appointment and consult
an attorney who is knowledgeable about constructive
liens as soon as possible. The statute governing
constructive liens is very intricate and there are
specific time requirements. Failure to do things right
could subject you to paying for the same work twice
plus attorney's fees and costs.
