Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Dear Attorney-

I have a question pertaining to real estate law. It's regarding the Program 3648 that President Bush put in effect back in late 2008, before his term was finished. My understanding is, that this Program 3648 is basically a "short sale" process. I have all the paperwork finished, but was advised by a title company to NOT sign anything, especially the warranty deed, before seeking legal counsel. As a real estate attorney, can you shed any input on this?... Thank you, James

Your title company is giving you good advice on a way to avoid a "mortgage scam" where you could loose title to your home with no resulting benefit.
