Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I think I am being discriminated against!

I recently received a letter from the management office stating that my children are not allowed to play in front of the building in which we live (This includes riding the bike on the sidewalks). They even attached a reference to the lease which states this. They state that the lawn has become unsightly and plants have been damaged. (The lawn is fine what damage can be done by two children who are rarely there and I have seen no plant damage!) I don't have a problem with the reference to the lease issue, if it is there then it is there. The problem that I have is there are three other families here with small children and they ride their bikes/scooters on the sidewalk, play in front of the apartment building and do kidstuff. Did I mention that I am the only black tenant in that apartment block? I am certain that the other tenants did not receive a notice as I did. Am I being discriminated against?

Re: I think I am being discriminated against!

Possibly. I suggest you get all the facts

before you leap to any conclusions. I also

suggest you abide by the terms of the

lease agreement.
