division of co owned property

do to inheritance two brother now share ower ship of land if one of said brothers wishes to divide property. do brothers have to agree we already know that property can be divided once

One can buy the other out or bring a partition action to compel a sale.

It is easier if you agree. If not, you will have to file a partition action wherein the court will try to resolve the situation by either having one party buy the other out or by dividing the property if it is divisible which you seem to indicate it can. If not, the judge will order the property be put up for sale and the proceeds divided between the parties.
