in my divorce i have been told to refinance my home to get my x wife's name off the mortgage
but to refinance i have to pay closing cost. so my question is, is there another route to take
like quick deed or a letter that will take her off with out me refinancing ? Thank you.

The lender had to release her. You cannot do that with a quit claim deed. The lender had to accept you as the only responsible party. Approach your current lender.

The only way to get her name off of the mortgage is to either refinance or sell the home. No other reasonable way. Good luck!

This issue should have been resolved at the time of your marriage dissolution. Now you must refinance or sell.
